Who can apply

• South African nationals only
• Master and PhD level applicants who are
  registered at one of the South African partner universities of EUSA_ID at the time of submitting their application (Target Group 1)
  registered at another South African Higher Education Institution which is not a partner of EUSA_ID or have obtained a university degree or equivalent from a South African university (Target Group 2)

• Staff level applicants
  Academic or administrative staff members working in or associated to one of the SA South African partner universities of EUSA_ID (Target Group 1)
  Academic staff members who are working in or associated to another South African Higher Education Institution which is not a partner of EUSA_ID (Target Group 2)
• have sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction (usually English)

• national of one of the eligible European countries only who
• are registered at one of the European EUSA_ID partner universities at the time of submitting their application to the partnership (Target Group 1)
• are registered at a European university which is not a partner of EUSA_ID or have obtained a university degree or equivalent from a university of any European country (Target Group 2)
• have sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction (English)

• EUSA_ID aims at a balanced selection in terms of gender. Therefore women are encouraged to apply!

• Furthermore, South African applicants living in less favourable socio-economic situations, belonging to formerly disadvantaged groups or coming from historically disadvantaged institutions will be given preference in the selection process if the criterion of academic excellence is met.
